Job Description:

A global supplier and Belgian family owned company is seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT/OT System Engineer to join their team in Belgium. As an IT/OT System Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and secure operation of our the production facilities by applying your expertise in IT & OT.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Technology Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate operational technology (OT) solutions into the production processes. This includes supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, remote monitoring, and automation. Furthermore a first expereince with other OT systems would be consideren a big plus: TCP/IP, Stratix, HMI, Historian, PLC's.
• System Maintenance: Ensure the continuous availability and reliability of IT/OT systems, including hardware, software, and networking components. Implement preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
• Security Management: Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect OT systems from external threats. Monitor and respond to security incidents.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve IT/OT issues promptly to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Compliance: Ensure that IT/OT systems comply with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.

Profile:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• A solid understanding of operational technologies, including SCADA, PLC, HMI used in industrial environments.
• Experience with cybersecurity principles and practices related to OT systems is a plus.
• Knowledge on Vmware, Veeam, Palo Alto, Cisco Switches, TCP/IP
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various departments and vendors.
• Knowledge of the OT environments, or already worked in an OT environment is considered a big plus.
• Languages: French & English.
